Do I need WiFi?

Yes! Wi-Fi is the core component of the outdoor camera system.

  • Connection Requirement: Requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi internet connection.
  • Minimum Upload Speed: At least 2 Mbps upload speed is required from your network to the internet.

How many camera can I added on ?

Single System: Each Sync Module (control module) supports up to 10 cameras.

Multiple Systems: You can add more Sync Modules to your account to support additional groups of 10 cameras each.

What kind of batteries used inside the outdoor camera?

Requirements: Powered by two AA 1.5v Lithium metal non-rechargeable batteries.

Recommended Brand: Energizer Ultimate Lithium 1.5v AA batteries (or equivalent) are strongly recommended for optimal performance.

WARNING:

Do NOT use Lithium-Ion (Li-ion) batteries; their higher voltage can damage the camera.

Avoid Alkaline or standard rechargeable batteries, as they may cause connection and power issues.

How long do the batteries last ?

Under standard use, batteries can last up to 2 years

  • Standard Use Definition: Roughly 70 seconds of daily activity (split between live view, motion recording, and two-way talk).
  • Factors That Drain Battery: Weak Wi-Fi signal, extreme temperatures, slow internet, and using non-recommended battery types. 

What is the viewing and motion range?

Visual Recognition: Facial features are clear up to 20–30 feet. Beyond 32 feet, recognition depends heavily on lighting conditions.

Motion Detection: The maximum range is approximately 20–25 feet, though sensitivity settings and object size can influence this.

Night Vision: Provided by an Infrared (IR) illuminator, offering visibility up to 20–25 feet in total darkness. 

What is the camera resolution and clip length?

  • Resolution: Records in up to 1080p HD. Frame rates vary from 7.5 fps (low light) to 30 fps (good lighting) to ensure clarity.
  • Customization: Clip lengths can be set between 5 and 60 seconds.
  • Data Usage: A 5-second clip uses approximately 750 KB of data—important to note if viewing over cellular data.
